Derby fever

This is my 11th AC Milan vs. Inter derby, and by the look of it, the teams are realy fired up.

4th league title ?

It might still be very early in the season, but the Milan team looks stronger than ever. AC Milan is currently after the first 13 games, first in the league, in a comfortable position, with 6 points ahead of second placed team Inter, and 8 ahead of Juventus. Next match day, we have a big celebration, the derby match with Inter in coming.

The Champions League dream is still alright, even if the team appears to be struggling in the group stage of the competition.

Olimpico punishment

I am amazed, pleased, and of course, happy.

I am proud to announce that my team gave a lesson in football to the AS Roma bunch. 6-0 at Olimpico must be the most humiliating result in the recent history of the meetings between the two teams. 65960 people witnessed how the home team conceded six beautiful goals. A pefect match, I must say.

Hot prospects

These are the best youngsters at the club

Peter Kiss arrived in 2011 from Hungary's Fehervar for 950,000 euros. He has a fairly ambitious personality; also the 20 year old striker is already considered a wonderkid. He will have to fight with Alexandro Pato and Neymar for a place in the first eleven, because he has a poachers skills (for my tactic).

Mustapha Meziane arrived at Milano in 2010 from AJ Auxerre for 5,750,000 euros. He has a resolute personality, a wonderkid description, a lethal touch in the air. He is a young, talented, target man.

Hector Rivero, born in Tapiales, Argentina, arrived at the club in 2010 from Central, after AC Milan paid for him 1,500,000 euros. He has a realist personality and he’s already considered a wonderkid. He already has, at the age of 20, 13 caps for Argentina.

The youngest prospect that AC Milan has to offer this is season is Marco Verratti. Even if he’s not considered a wonderkid like the first three, he already has the skills to fight for a place in the Milan match squad with Pirlo or Goucuff. He arrived in 2011 from Pescara for 750,000 euros.

Perfect start

Yes, a perfect debut to the season, seven wins, the last one against arch rivals Juventus. The match was on the edge, Juve took the lead very early, but the Milan team had the power to overcome them, winning in the end by 3-1.

AC Milan goes to 4 wins against Juventus.

Milan squad for Season 2012/13

The team is ready to begin the new season. I am proud to say that I consider to have today the best team in all my reign at Milan.

The match squad will look something like this :

Adler (Victor) – Beck (Motta), Criscito (Rivero), Mexes (Th.Silva, Jorgensen), Zapata (R.Miranda, Rivas) – Khedira (Sandro), Pirlo (Flamini), Fer (Gattuso, Denilson), Gourcuff (Ribery) – Pato (Neymar), Dzeko (Huntelaar)

Season 2012/13 transfers

I am proud to announce that the transfers of Denilson and Djourou (who were on loan last year at Milan) have been finalized. Also the sensational arrival of Mexes from arch rivals AS Roma.

Milan ball winners

In each team there we have a piano, where some players play the piano, while others have to carry the piano. At AC Milan, players like Pirlo play at the piano, while the likes of Gattuso or Flamini carry the piano for the team. I hope you understand the metaphor.

Milan touch of magic

After the departure of Ronaldinho, all the flair and creativity are going to be managed by Gourcuff, Pirlo and Ribery.

Milan strikeforce

Since my arrival at San Siro I tried to apply a tactic that can help my provide options for the men upfront. In the 167 matches that I played as AC Milan manager, the team managed to score 429 goals (2.56 goals per match).

The main strikers in this fabulous three years were Pato, Dzeko, Huntelaar and Neymar. From the 429 goals mentioned, the four strikers scored 247 goals (58%).

Alexandre Pato, 95 goals;

Edin Dzeko, 70 goals;

Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, 57 goals;

Neymar, 25 goals.

Super Cup again

As it seems , this is the 3rd consecutive Italian Super Cup for me.

The goals in this 3-1 win over Genoa, scored Pato, Flamini and Ribery made the succes possible.

World-class DC

I am proud to announce that I finally found a world-class centre back that wanted to join my club. Philippe Mexes signed for AC Milan after I gave AS Roma, 41,000,000 euros. With Mexes and Zapata I have high hopes for another Champions League triumph.

Farewell lads

Special thanks to Ronaldinho , Massimo Ambrosini and Cheik M'Bengue for all the special things that they accomplished at the club.

M’Bengue arrived from Toulouse at the beginning of the 2011/12 season for 17,000,000 euros, but left a year after to Sevilla, for 20,000,000 euros. He played for AC Milan 27 games (7.23).

“Dinho” played four seasons at San Siro since his arrival from Barcelona (21,000,000 euros). He brought smiles on our faces in 121 appearances (7,09), scoring 22 goals and providing 42 assists.

Last but not least, special thanks from our hearts to “el capitano”, Massimo Ambrosini. Ambrosini was an AC Milan player for 16 seasons. 317 league appearances and 26 goals.

Third consecutive title

I am happy to announce that I managed to win the third consecutive title with AC Milan. The third season was the best of all because I gained more points than ever, 101.

The rock in the Milan defense

Cristián Eduardo Zapata Valencia (born 30 September 1986) is a Colombian footballer. He is a defender, playing centre back. He can also play full back on either side as he is comfortable with both feet, although naturally right footed.

He arrived at AC Milan for 26,000,000 euros and always had an average rating of at least 7,50.

Coppa Italia at Milano

AC Milan has won the Coppa Italia after a drastic 3-0 victory over Genoa. After winning the title a considered the final of the Italian cup to be a perfect opportunity to give youngsters a chance to prove themselves, like Peter Kiss. I consider the test to be a success.

Coppa Italia 2012

With Alexandre Pato injured, Neymar lacking form, Dzeko just back in training after injury, I had to play Huntelaar as target man and hot prospect Kiss as poacher. I was very impressed with the attack, 3 goals in the final is a real success.

Serie A third consecutive title to become available

Leaving aside the Champions League failure of this year, I am very proud to present to you the league standings in the Serie A , after 31 matches. I am currently first in the championship with Inter in second place at an 18 points distance. So, with the season coming close to an end, I am very sure that then I will be celebrating another success.

Champions League dream over !

Unfortunately another Champions League season ended in tears. After obtaining maximum points in the group stage and drawing AEK Athens in the last sixteen phase of the competition, I was knocked out in the quarter finals by Olympique Lyonnias, 1-1 at home and 0-0 away at Gerland. It appears that, if you win everything in the group stage, doesn’t mean that you will win the cup also.

So after three seasons I have one win in the final, one appearance in the semi finals and one in the quarter finals.

AC Milan 11.02.2012

Here we have the AC Milan squad from the third season (11 february 2012).
