Steaua retain 4th consecutive title

One again FC Steaua Bucharest managed to win the Liga I title bringing glory to all her fans. The fourth season was easier than expected at the beginning, but with a little luck and a lot of hard work we managed to pull off an exceptional performance. The most notable things that happened this season were the sacking of Lopez Caro from Vaslui after 3 and half years at the helm of the club, and of course the move of Victor Piturca from Craiova to Vaslui for 110K.

Here is the updated list of all the players that left the club in the last four years. The most notable names added at the end of the season are Damien Le Tallec, Andrej Kramaric and Adrian Mutu.

The most important transfers of the season that just ended were the ones of Andrej Kramaric from Steaua Bucharest to Shakhtar Donetsk for 16,500,000 € and Marco Perez from CFR Cluj to Celtic Glasgow for 8,000,000 €.

The season ended for Steaua Bucharest with a fantastic 7-1 home win agains FC Botosani.

These are all the press statements released after the club has retained the title.

This is the news from ProSport regarding the match that made Steaua lift the 4th consecutive title.

4th season race

I am already in the 4th season with FC Steaua Bucharest and I am glad to say that I managed to win the first possible 3 titles in the Romanian Liga I. At the moment the title race is going better than last year where I had to struggle until the last minutes of the year to gain glory.

Below we have the current Steaua Bucharest squad stats until 12.4.2014.

The league table is smiling at my team until now.

5-1 win again arch-rivals Dinamo Bucharest and 6-0 win against Rapid Bucharest.

I am very sad that Kramaric had to leave the club in the winter transfer period, but life goes on. I am very very thankful for his contribution at the club over the last seasons.

Dreamland

Dreams are sometimes like the paints of a great artist. Your dreams are your own paints, the world is your canvas. Believing, is the brush that coverts your dreams into a masterpiece of reality. The happiness I feel now is the pain I had before...

3rd consecutive title for Steaua Bucharest !!! There are no words for this achievement.

Gloating words for the team from the press.

The 34th Liga I day, crucial !

This must be the most exciting title race finish in the history of the Liga I. Here is the live reports from the two crucial matches, FC Steaua vs. FC Vaslui and CFR Cluj vs. Astra.

The final chapther

Big day, big match, complex calculations, who will win the title ? Below we have the interviews with Vaslui's Lopez Caro, Steaua's Andrei Tudor and Ramiro Vitorino.

The Liga I 34th matchday. If FC Vaslui wins at Steaua, they are 100% champions, if they draw and CFR Cluj wins against Astra, CFR are the new title champions. The only way for Steaua Bucharest to win the title, is if they beat Vaslui, and CFR Cluj trips against Astra and fail to win.

The only good thing following this sad season could be my great striking force (81 goals in 33 matches at the moment).

This is the update regarding the most recent results of my team.

Don't be pushed by your problems. Be led by your dreams.

Things don't look to good for my FC Steaua Bucharest. With 15 points left on the table and 6 behind leading FC Vaslui, the current title holders look very far from bagging the 3rd consecutive title.

Even so we have to finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in, forget them as soon as you can. Tommorow is a new day, you shall begin it well and serenely...

My biggest concern at the moment is very complex. It isn't that I can't see the solution, it's that I can't see the problem at the club.

Adrian Ropotan is the latest squad addition at Steaua Bucharest. Ropotan played in his career until joining Steaua for Dinamo Moscow, Dinamo Bucharest and a short period on loan at Rapid Bucharest.
