Championship Update 30.09.09

Promotion ? It's to early, there are another 36 games left.

Argyle strike Forest

Top form provides important wins for the Pilgrims in another thrilling encounter.

Newcastle-Plymouth Argyle 3-1

A normal setback for the Pilgrims as Newcastle United coast past them.

Power ! W.B.A 2-2 Plymouth

If we take a closer look at the two team, we can notice a huge difference in reputation, finances, players. This 2-2 draw against Albion is my milestone since my arrival at Plymouth. After 6 games in the Coca-Cola Championship, Plymouth are in second position with 11 points.

League Cup done

This season objective for the League Cup was achieved by the club, who played in the second round of the tournament. After defeating Gillingam 4-1 in the first round, Plymouth was eliminated by Premier League's Sunderland 2-1.

My new team

Arnason, Vacek and Scorza are with no doubt the players that I put my hopes in this season.

16 players in , 11 players out, 10 loans in, big transfer activity !!!

Below we have the full squad of Plymouth Argyle. The team will look something like this :

Courtois (Sebok) - Walker (Lauren, D.Johnson), Ball (Fontenette, Antonelli), Arnason (Korun, Kapralik), R.Johnson (Wolakiewicz, Sawyer) - Brellier (Fletcher), Enoh (Camazzola, Larrea, Razzotti), Vandinho (Patkai, Parrett, Summerfield), Vacek (Julio Hormiga, Daouk) - Salpingidis (Fallon, Barnes), Scorza (Da Silva, Del Moral).

Who is Plymouth Argyle F.C. ?

First of all the are the team that I'm currently managing in Football Manager 10. Plymouth Argyle Football Club, commonly known as Argyle, or by their nickname, The Pilgrims, are an English professional football club based in Home Park, Plymouth. They play in The Coca-Cola Championship, having joined the Football Leaguein 1920. Since becoming professional in 1903 the club has won six Football League titles, one Souther Leaguetitle and one Western League title, with their most recent success coming in 2004 when they were crowned Second Division champions. The 2009–10 season is the club's 41st in the second tier of English football. In the 2009–2010 season they were relegated to the third tier of English football.

The club takes its nickname from an English religious group that left Plymouth for the New World in 1620. The club crest features the Mayflower, the London-based ship, which carried the pilgrims to Massachusetts. Former League club Boston United are also known as the Pilgrims and feature the Mayflower on its badge; Boston was the starting point on the Pilgrims journey. Plymouth Argyle was the only club to play in a principally green home strip until 2003 when Yeovil Town gained promotion to the Football League. After Hull earned promotion to the Premier League, the city of Plymouth is now the largest in England never to have hosted top-flight football. They are the most southern and western League club in England.

Jaded, defeated, disappointed

It's over... another year, another season that ends without the Champions League trophy. It's sad, but we have nothing left to do.

50% journey

After a cruel Madrid domination, Milan has won 4-2 and are almost in the Champions League Final.

Two wins = very high title hopes

5 games left until the end of the season, 15 possible points, 13 ahead of second placed Inter. Looks good.

Fiorentina will be very dissapointed with the outcome of the Milan game. It was really a very even match, but with only one winner.

Another "roma"-tic game against AS Roma, with 4 goals from the AC Milan offense in the first half.

Semi-finals here we are !

3rd Champions League semi-final in 4 years for AC Milan. I super record and lets hope we can go all the way again.

Fever time

I am going to leave again Rene Adler (6.99) on the bench and go for it with Victor (7.11), Pato instead of Aguero and Khedira in the place of Sandro. I must not concede any goals (for the sake of the away-goals rule). Good luck boys!

Camp Nou for AC Milan

My Milan team met Barcelona in the first leg of the Champions League Quarter-Finals. The match ended in a bore draw, but with a disallowed goal from Edin Dzeko. The conclusion will arrive after the San Siro match.

Champions League 12/13 - First Knockout Round

Barca, Villareal, Real will represent Spain in the Quarter-Finals, Man. City and Man. Utd. from England, Lyon from France, FC Porto from Portugal and me and my AC Milan as the only team from Italy.

Transfer round-up season 12/13

The last day of the transfer period, was the day that I decided to step-up and make the most important move on the market, letting Neymar leave for Chelsea for 30,000,000 euros. Neymar won't be very missed by the Milan fans, because, Sergio Aguero arrived at the club for 60,000,000 euros.

No important moves in this season. The only other interesting move, besides Aguero and Neymar, is the constant attitude given by Johan Djourou, who is currently on loan at Stoke.

Inter brushed asside

After this fantastic league win agains arch rivals Inter, I can say that I am one of the happiest managers in the Football Manager world.

There are no words for the following lines.
